We’re introducing a new upholstery option for KHOY sofa beds: LUX, a heavier, more structured fabric designed for those looking for an even more premium look and feel.

LUX complements our original Eco fabric rather than replacing it. While Eco remains our versatile, lightweight and easy-living choice, LUX offers a different character – with more weight, visible texture and a substantial feel that gives the sofa a more structured appearance.

A richer, bouclé-like texture

At 520 g/m², LUX is a heavier upholstery fabric with a distinctive bouclé-like structured surface. It is woven from multiple coloured yarns, creating a rich mélange effect with subtle variations in tone and texture.

This gives the fabric more visual depth and a tactile quality that becomes especially noticeable up close. The interplay of different yarn colours also means the surface can appear slightly different depending on the light and surroundings.

The heavier construction gives the upholstery a firmer, more structured appearance on the sofa, while the textured weave brings warmth and softness to the overall look.

As part of its bouclé-like character, the fabric naturally features visible loops and subtle variations in the weave. Occasional loose yarns or small irregularities are an inherent part of this type of textile and give LUX its distinctive, textured character rather than being considered defects.

Made in Belgium

LUX is a high-quality European upholstery fabric made in Belgium from 100% polyester.

The fabric is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances according to the OEKO-TEX® criteria.

Combined with its substantial weight, textured weave and carefully selected mélange colours, LUX offers a distinctly premium upholstery option for KHOY sofa beds.

Premium, but made for everyday living

Premium doesn't mean delicate. Just like our Eco fabric, LUX is washable at 30°C, making it a practical choice for everyday life.

KHOY's removable covers can be taken off and washed when needed, so choosing a more premium upholstery doesn't mean giving up one of the most important practical features of a KHOY sofa bed.

LUX is also designed for demanding everyday use. It has been tested to 100,000 Martindale abrasion cycles and is suitable for homes with pets.

Because LUX is thicker and heavier than our Eco fabric, LUX covers are finished with a stronger, heavier-duty zipper to match the more substantial construction.

Available in three carefully selected colours

We selected three versatile mélange colours that work particularly well with the simple form of KHOY sofa beds:

Melange Cream – a soft, warm neutral that creates a light and calm appearance.

Melange Grain – a natural, earthy tone with subtle variation in the weave.

Melange Brown – a deeper, warmer shade that brings richness and contrast to the sofa.

Because each colour is woven from multiple tones rather than a single uniform yarn, the mélange effect gives the surface additional depth and character.

Eco or LUX – which one should you choose?

Both fabrics are durable, washable and designed for everyday living, but they offer two different expressions.

Choose Eco if you prefer a lighter, smoother and more casual upholstery with a broad selection of colours.

Choose LUX if you prefer a heavier, more textured and structured upholstery with a rich mélange effect and distinctly premium feel.

Whichever you choose, the idea behind KHOY remains the same: a sofa bed designed to look good as a sofa, sleep properly as a bed, and make everyday living a little easier.
